The Proposal: A Story Worth Forging
Why This Story, Why Now
For some veterans, the hardest part isn't coming home. It's finding something to come home to. Warriors Way answers that question with fire and steel. In a converted shop in Lima, Ohio, veterans, first responders, and young people learn the American crafts of blacksmithing, knife-making, and archery — and in the process, find their hands, their focus, and each other again.
In 2026, America turns 250. There is no better time to tell a story about veterans reconnecting to the same skills that built this country. This film captures that story, in their own words, on their own ground.
The Film
A 3–4 minute mini-documentary featuring three veterans whose lives have been changed by Warriors Way. Shot on location in the forge — the rhythm of the hammer, the glow of the steel, the quiet between the strikes — built around honest, unhurried interviews with the people whose stories matter most.
The goal isn't only a promotional video. It's a piece of work that feels true. The kind of film that makes a stranger understand, in three minutes, why this place matters.
Alongside the main film, three 60-second cutdowns formatted for social media — built to share, built to move.
.
How Warriors Way Will Use It
1. Homepage hero — the first thing a new visitor sees and feels
2. Year-end donor appeals
3. Grant applications — a real story is worth more than ten pages of narrative
4. Live events
5. Social media — cutdowns feeding their channels for months
6. Board meetings, sponsor pitches, partnership conversations
This isn't a one-time piece of content. It's an asset Warriors Way will use every time they need someone to understand what happens at the forge.
